Female internship applications now open!

Applications for the Takor Group Female Internship are now open!

Last month we revealed that Takor Group are collaborating with Women in Technology WA (WiTWA) to create a paid position for a female intern. We’re excited to announce that applications for this position are now open! So if you are or know a woman with a passion for GIS or technology, please read on to hear how to apply.

The purpose of this internship is to support women in technology by giving them valuable experience and contacts within the industry. And as a geospatial company we would also like to encourage them to consider a career in GIS.

The chosen candidate will be invited to work on a live project and gain hands-on industry relevant work experience. The project will vary depending on their skill, but could be anything from writing code to working on graphics.

This placement is not a full time position. Instead the intern will be given a project we expect them to complete in eight weeks, and they can set their own hours over the summer vacation, or for no more than 24 hours a week during the final semester if at university. The project fee that will be paid to the intern will be split into two instalments, one after 4 weeks and one after 8 weeks, but they must complete their project to be paid the full sum.
