The team travel State side to exhibit Mappt to thousands of geospatial enthusiasts

Just days after our team arrived back in Perth from presenting Mappt at INSPIRE Geospatial World Forum in Portugal, they were welcomed home with…more plane tickets! Leaving in a week! To America! So they repacked their bags to fly across the world again, but this time it was for GEOINT Symposium 2015 held in Washington, D.C.

The conference took place from 22-25 June at the Walter E. Washington Convention Centre. This annual event is hosted and produced by the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF), the only organisation dedicated to promoting the geospatial intelligence and building a bigger geospatial community. So it was unsurprising to hear that our mobile mapping app helped form the 100,000 square feet of technologies, solutions and services from over 290 organisations.

For three days the Mappt team exhibited our mobile mapping application to thousands of geospatial enthusiasts, all looking for the next best thing in GIS. They shook hundreds of hands, swapped countless business cards and met an array of inspiring and intelligent GIS industry players.

Outside exhibiting hours, their schedules were packed with meetings, talks and networking events. Our Mappt expert Alistair Hart was also interviewed by GISCafe on our mobile GIS app (watch the full video here), while Mappt’s founder and CEO Amir Farhand was interviewed by Project Geospatial.

The team also made time for essential ‘business research’…

It was a crazy couple of weeks of prep and presentations, power naps and coffee. Now that they’re back in Perth and have found their body clocks, we’re following up on all the exciting opportunities coming up for Mappt. So stay tuned because we’ll reveal any news here first!
